October Sales For The GTA:
Greater Toronto REALTORS® reported 6,681 sales through the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) in October 2010. This represented 21% decrease compared to the 8,476 sales recorded in October 2009. Sales to date amounted to a 1% increase compared for the same period in 2009.
The annual change in sales and average selling prices has been quite uniform across the GTA and by property type as the market has balanced out from record levels of sales in the second half of 2009 and the first few months of 2010, said Toronto Real Estate Board President Bill Johnson

Nov 17th/2010: Brampton REALTORS® reported 540 sales through the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) in October, compared to 720 for the same period in October 2009 a 25.5% decrease in sales.
For Homeowners: If you are a homeowner living in W23, the average price of all house types had an increase between 5-9% with the exception of condo townhouses which saw a slight decrease from 2009 prices. If you are located in W24, semi detached homes feared better than all other house types, an increase of 3.97% from 2009 levels.
For Buyers: If you are planning on buying a home in W23, you can expect to pay between 5-9% more than the 2009 W23 average prices. If buying in W24, the average price of all house types are much higher than W23, with the exception of condo apartments and condo townhouses.
